Biography

Nancy Bussières is an artist-researcher working to create the logical and dynamic integration of lighting with the scenic arts. Her recent work is based on the development of a chronology of lighting, which explores experience and perception. She has worked in different areas, in theatre, dance, opera, music, circus, cinema, performance arts, media arts and installations. She is a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal and she is a member of the research team at Hexagram (a program dedicated to the research and creation of the media arts, design, technology and software design) as well as working at the Centre for Sensory Studies at Concordia University. This is her third collaboration with Chants Libres.
