Born in Montréal and of Ukrainian origin, Taras made his European debut (France and Belgium) in the title role of Don Giovanni directed by Gérard Corbiau and broadcast on TV5. Among his successes let us mention Leporello in Don Giovanni in Vancouver, Victoria, Aspen, Winnipeg and Ottawa, the title role in Les Noces de Figaro in Regina and Vancouver; Colline in La Bohème in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa and Winnipeg, the King in Aida in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton, Ferrando in Il Trovatore in Calgary and Ottawa, as well as many other roles. He sings with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the Minnesota Orchestra, L’Orchestre Métropolitain, the Vancouver Bach Choir, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Victoria Symphony.
