A multi-faceted artist with a warm and supple voice, Claudine Ledoux has garnered many positive reviews from critics and audiences alike for her stage presence and her musical sensibility. Active as a performer in both opera and sacred music, her repertoire floats easily between Baroque and Contemporary music. She has been a soloist for many prestigious ensembles, conducted by Gérard Lesne, Charles Dutoit, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Geneviève Soly, Chiristopher Jackson, Marc David, Hervé Niquet, Louis Lavigueur and many more.
Claudine Ledoux has performed in many international festivals (Ambronay, Pontoise, Utrecht, Brussels, etc.) and a number of her performances have been broadcast on Radio-Canada and by many European broadcasters. She is a regular performer in the Netherlands, in Belgium, in England, in France and in Italy. Her projects for 2009-2010 include many more tours in France and Belgium.
Her performance on the album Noël à Darmstadt (Les Idée Heureuses, nominated for a Félix for best classical album), distributed by the Analekta label, was lauded by international critics, and she is currently preparing an album of melodies for harp and voice. Claudine Ledoux has been accorded many grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and by the Canada Council for the Arts.
