Yan Muckle has twice collaborated with Chants Libres. In 1997, he wrote the libretto for Yo soy la desintegracion, followed in 1999 by the libretto for Lulu, le chant souterrain.
Yan Muckle also writes in other domains and has earned many honours. His novel, Le bout de la terre, published by Editons Boréales in 1998, won the first Prix de la Société des écrivains canadiens. He has also written many articles for the magazine L’actualité. He has written a number of published works and pieces for radio.
