Biography

Since the beginning of his career, Jacques-Lee Pelletier has shared his time between Paris, Toronto and Montréal. Pelletier drew international attention in many major cities of the world when he presented his living sculptures at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts in 1982. In 1985, Germany’s Mode Trend described him as avant-gardist, a philosopher, and poet of matter and beauty. He has worked with the most famous celebrities in the fields of theatre, dance, photography, hair styling, advertising, video and television. An acclaimed lecturer in Europe and throughout America, he is also the man behind the many faces of Benoît Brière in Bell Canada’s advertising campaigns. He is also the national make-up artist for Phyt’s bio cosmetics, the only 100% certified natural make-up products offered in Canada. He has been working in close collaboration with Pauline Vaillancourt since 1991. He is currently the head make-up artist for the Marina Orsini program on Radio-Canada.
